Kailyn sniffs out the fox and quietly sneaks behind him. The fox doesn't have to hear her because he already smells her. He smiles to himself and acts as if he doesn't notice she's there. He stands and walks around playing in the snow a bit before looking up, Kailyn now there standing before him. She lowers her head slightly, keeping her eyes on him, in peaceful greeting. The corners of his mouth widen and his teeth show. He gives a playful growl before pouncing on her. She yelps, scared, not sure of what he was doing. She Had only ever played with her siblings this way. She wasn't exactly confortable playing with a stranger.

The young fox pounces on her and nips at her fur. At first he notices she doesnt' play back until he fells her slid her hind feet on is lower belly and kicks him off her. Kailyn sits up and begins to clean her fur where he had slobbered on it. Discusted, she stopped and looked at him. She'd get a real bath later. He was sitting before her wagging his tail. He was excited to see her. She didn't want too much confrontation with him but it seemed a bit late for that. And wondered what he wanted and what he was doing there.
The fox sat there for sometime staring at her beauty, mesmerized. He wasn't sure why. He'd never looked at at female this way before. He shook his head and put up a paw for her to wait.. He made a large pile of snow, and slipped off the sack that was on his back. And changed into human form. Shivering, he quickly dressed behind the mound of snow, before he walked around it to see if she was still there, and she was.
She watched him make a mound of snow and curosity poked at her. She wanted to pounce on the mound but figured it would be rude since he had motioned for her to wait. When he came out from behind the mound he was a boy. About her age, with flaming red hair and lots of freakles. He has on a pair of long brown trousers and a dark green tunic, with a thick dark brown coat and boots. As he bowed to her, saying, "I'm Zeke," she realized he was the same boy she saw on her way out from the city. She wasn't about to change forms. She left her clothes a ways off and wasnt about to run around naked. in Hybrid form she could talk but wasnt sure if she should. The area they were in was open with little trees and was too close to a town. She didn't want anyone catch her. She lowered her head and greeted him with small rumble from her throat. She turned and went have her run. She figured he'd meet up with her agian some other time. Hopefully in human form so he woudn't recoginze her, she hoped.

Jason sat there in the snow he head resting on his white paws and his eyes closed. He debated weather or not they should follow this ghost or if he should forget about it and act like nothing happened. Kaily was growing up so fast, he thought and she needed to be told and shown things that he couldn't imagine teaching her. He had thought about taking her to the islands to find a family that would adopt her, but wasn't sure it was the best thing to do for her and he hadn't yet. He felt cheatede out of his adolessents and resented the humans for that. He ended up deciding he wouldn't tell her and wait it out a few days. He'd have another private conversation with the inn keeper and maybe a few small interviews w/ towns peole. He also thought about that fact that the full moon was nearing and he'd have to let the alpha of this region know where he and his sister were. He is suddenly brought from his train of thought when Kailyn, thinkking of the devil, pounces by in the deep snow. He gets up to chace her when he realizes she is being chaced by a nude boy and instead follows him closely.

As he followed the boy, Jason caught his scent. A therian. He breathed in deeper recognizing the scent of his kind. The boy was a fox pup. He continued his chace until he was close enough to pounce on him. Surely by now the boy would've known he was being chased himself. Jason pounced on him gong for the back of his neck The boy wasn't tall so he could make the jump fairly easily. He bit the flesh enough to leave marks and to make the boy fall to the ground, stopping his hunt of the snow leopard.
The boy ran for a good while loosing sight of the young snow leopard and realized he was being followed. He didn't turn back but by hearing the trots in the snow he knew it wasn't bipedal. It got closer and closer and his instinct told him to hide, but where? Before he knew it he was being taken down by the scruff of his neck like an elder would a pup and he falls to the ground, a nerve being pinched.
Kailyn ran until she realized the boy was no longer on her trail. Breathing heavily, she wondered if she lost him for good or if something happened to him. Curiosity got the best of her and she circled back to find him.

Jason pounced ontop of the boy and growled, teeth glaring, at his neck. What was this boy doing, chasing his sister? He thought for a moment before he stopped his growling, as it dawned on him. She's comming of age. She was growing up and readying the age to mate. He couldn't teach her about that sort of thing. What was he to do?
The boy tenced in fear as the fox tumbled him to the ground. He had the perfect chance if he wanted to to end it right there. His eyes shut, he prayed his life to be spared until he realized the growling at his neck had stopped. He laid there still, unsure of what to do.
Kailyn came trotting back, following the trail of the boy and finding her brothers scent with his. She found them -the boy face down, and her brother standing ontop of him with an odd look about his face.

Jason growled at the boy and let him go, seeing Kailyn made her way back to them. The boy ran and fast. He wasn't sure what the fox was trying to say but he knew he wasn't welcome. Kailyn stood watching her brother in disbelief. *~* ason paced the room searching for the right words to say. He decided it best to have Kailyn stay with a family who could finish bringing her up properly. He had asked several people around the area and just about everyone referred him to a stern, demanding, and proud woman, Teara. Even the alpha for the area, Bulgark, mentioned her first. And now it was time for his sister to be informed. He finally stopped and looked at her, then sighted heavily. He knew she wouldn’t be happy. Kailyn sat on the bed and watched her brother with concern, as he paced the floor. She knew he was worried about something, and needed to speak with her. He had done this vary thing many times before. She smiled to herself, seeing fragments of her parents -what she could remember anyway- shine through her brother. When he stopped, she couldn’t help but laugh. “What?!” he demanded, a grin formed on his face. He couldn’t help but smile when he saw or heard her laugh. Through giggles, she said, “ You look so much like dad right now!” Her giggles subsided and her smile froze as fragments of memory disturbed her thoughts. Her smile faded to a frown as flashes of the last night she had seen all of her family appeared in the foreground of her mind. She zoned out. Jason laughed with her until she stopped and watched as her smile and beautifully happy face transformed into a frightened frown. He sat on the bed and held her tightly, rocking her. He now worried if the choice he was making was the right one. But looking at the situation, what choice did he have now?

Jason decided not to tell her. Not just yet anyway. It was too delicate a time. And he wasn't even sure this woman would or even could help them in the unraveling situation. He had finally got Kailyn to sleep and had begun to pace the floor for the night, ending up slumped in a chair by the dwindeling fire asleep. The woke early the next morning from noises outside his room. He looked to the bed, to find Kailyn still sleeping soundly. He got to his feet and went over to her to check on her. He brushed a few strainds of long, bloned hair that had fallen loose from her braides, out of her face. She would fix them when she woke as she always did. She must be having sweet dreams, he thought, noting the slightly curved corners of her mouth. her certainly hoped so. He bent down and gently kissed her forehead before he crossed the room and left, locking the door behind him. ~*~ Back in deep thought, he strolled down the stairs to the tavern below. Tom, the owner and keepper of the Inn and Tavern, greeted him almost instantly. "Good morning Master Jason. Breakfast?" "Good Morning to you too, Tom. And yes, sounds like a good start. " "What would you like, sir?" asked the man. "Hmmn," he thought it over briefly, considering the present circumstances. "Whatever you can spare for a poor lad." The man grinned at what he thought was an apparent joke, "Poor lad?" but he went along with it. "Are you having financial difficulties at this time?" "Well, not really. I've only considered what we discussed the other day. I'd like to continue it, if you don't mind." He paused, and Tom waited for him to continue. "Perhaps I'll go on this goose-chase. Who knows, maybe I'll find out a bit of information. To calm the mind, you know? Maybe I'll find a mate in the process. It's about time, you know." He shurged and sat at the private table in the corner, Tom now offered him, still listening intently. "I see, Jason. Would you like to have this little talk over breakfast?" Jason simply nodded, a bit spaced out in his mind. Tom noded and bowed to him before he left to fetch him a meal.
