The marshes are a vast stretch of mangroves, cypress knees and swamps, interconnected by streams, canals and rivers laced through the land. They are also home to the gypsy-folk of Odamar. These flamboyant, suspicious people look upon outsiders uneasily when they enter their swamps yet eagerly accept money and goods from outlanders when they venture forth to perform their various arts. The marsh-folk often spin tales of bizarre, mystical beings that can weave the very elements to their will, though outlanders view such as simple tales from folk that have spent far to long in the damp swamps of the marshlands.
Camp Vistoff
Camp Vistoff is the largest family of the marshes and commands the respect of their fellow gypsies. They are rumored, among the marsh-folk, to have alliances with the mystical beings of lore and legend.
Important Figures
Gauril Vistoff - Elder of Camp Vistoff. Gauril is a wizened old man, well past his prime physically, though few of the camps would care to try to match his wits.
Luca - Therian (raccoon) Alpha of the Marshes. Luca keeps the therians of the marshes in line using a string of informants throughout the marsh, only dealing with individual therians when real problems crop up.
Meredith - Water Fae; eldest fae of the marshes. Meredith is well into her fourth century, though she still possesses the grace and physique of her youth. Often, she roams the swamps alone, making appearances among her fellow marsh-dwellers only when it strikes her fancy.
