Leona Leona siled, silently droppeing from seductress into that calm detatched place she went to when she went out hunting. She silently strung her bow and nocked an arrow, not drawing it back yet, She'd learned it was much faster to have it at the ready incase she only gets a quick snap shot. She edged silently behind Helnas, Stalking slowly she fought back the instinctual urge to slip away and draw the prey towards Helnas. She grinned slightly, No sense in distracting the lad. She'd hit him with too much already. She paused, looking around, it was unnaturaly quiet. She gently tapped Helnas' shoulder to get his attnetion making a sign for him to be cautiouse. Has he noticed it as well?

Ben as the large man looked about he could feel his friend begin to twitch from the nightmares that seemed to come after the stress of this hunt. "hold on little buddy you'll be fine." said the large man as he held him tighter to his chest. The young man moaned as Ben tucked into the guest tent, laying Kit down he ready himself for a long couple of days.

Helnas Helnas paused at Leona's light tap, glancing over his shoulder curiously. Catching her gesture, he turned his thoughts from women and their intrigues to their current surroundings. The wind wasn't even enough to stir the tall grasses around them, only a mere breath over the plains. Something was odd. He tilted his head just slightly, trying to puzzle it out. Slowly, realization struck him as he heard the soft sound of their breathing, both standing still. The common rustle and stirrings of things moving in the grasses was absent. Along with the soft songs of the birds that made their homes in the plains. Helnas frowned slightly, shifting his weight slightly. The sound was disconcertingly loud in the relative silence. He looked to Leona, concern etched in his features. Now, what's all this about?

Leona Leona frowned, Even the sound of her own breathing seemed loud. She ventured a look around and couldn't see anything out of place within the tall grass, save for a waiver of the grass as a soft breeze dared to stir befor dying out again, it was as if the world was holding it's breath. She carefully drew back her arrow, silently slipping past Helnas with a scowl, Motioning for him to follow her as she began to slwoly circle back around the spot they were just standing. Her voice was a ghosts hint of a whisper, "We're being stalked... Lioness'...two...three of them..." She swallowed softly, If helnas weren't here this would be a simple thing to deal with.

Ben as he watched Kits body begin to twitch from the dreams he started to worry. Looking about he knew he had to find out what had happened in the tent. He turn and left the small opening of the tent he walked threw the crowd of traders. As he came up to the tent that belonged to the man named Tieg he called to him "Tieg are you there?..."

Helnas The head man's son shifted aside slightly to allow Leona more room as she passed him. Following her as silently as he could, they circled about through the grass. He frowned at her whispered words, worry threading through him. Lions were definitely nothing to make light of on the plains. The large grasscats were easily the greatest predators in the tall grasses. He looked to Leona, his frown deepening. "Positions?" Tieg Tieg had finally settled back into his tent, and been joined by his mate. The therian woman was busily tidying things. No matter how often Tieg attempted to get the woman to relax, she insisted on near constant movement. Her bestial influence was not the sedate, even lazy, creature that he was. When he heard his name from beyond the door of the tent, Tieg sat up slightly. "Of course, come in."

Leona The woman smiled feircly, a few yards to our front, They're trying to pick up our scent again." She quietly edged foreward and peered over the grass, watching it's sporadic movements. A glimpse of tail, a slight huff and then She Drew back her arrow and loosed it. The sound of a Lioness snarling and rolling in the dirt could be heard as she tugged Helnas back the other three bounding through the grass at the sudden commotion. "If we run we're dead." She bit her lower lip as the two left their injured companion and began to split, flanking them. Her heartbeat picked up and she fought the predatory side of her nature to tigger her change and since larger, trounce the two cats. Her eyes slitted, she'd also likely never be able to show her face around Helnas again. She hesitated, her eyes dialating slightly and her shoulders bunching as she fought with herself.

Helnas Helnas nocked his own bow as he edged closer to Leona, searching the grass for the great cats that sent it to swaying with their passage. Leona loosed an arrow first, earning a pained snarl as she struck her mark. He relaxed his draw as he felt himself tugged back, unwilling to loose an arrow needlessly. Stumbling back with her, he fought to regain his balance and footing as the lionesses burst through the grass. As they moved to flank them, Helnas shifted to brace his back against Leona's, trusting her to do the same. A low rumble sounded in the grass before him. Lifting his bow, he drew the string taut until the fletching of his arrow brushed his cheek and let it fly.

Leona shivered, breaking into a sweat as she heard another pained snarl, though this one not quite as loud. Both Lionesses bounded through the grass towards the two, "Helnas... I guess now's a good time to tell you about the time I got you int troube with Banta was my fault, I didn't think she'd be quite so angry with you." She braced herself and drew her longsword After an arrow neatly blossomed inside her Lioness' mouth and throat. She glanced of her Shoulder, "I don't have time to nock another... Duck? perhaps?"

Leona Leona heard a faint snarl behind her and she grinned feraly, the Lioness infront of her lept, intent upon tackling the smaller woman, for its trouble it caught a arrow to the chest. Leona snarled, sounding near feral as she too lept and caught the weight of the lioness and spun with her into the dirt, both females snapping and snarling at eachother as they lacshed out with everything they had, leona with a dagger and hunting knife and the lioness with quickly draining strenghts of tooth and claw. Leona quickly lept from the inert corpse and stood shoulder to shoulder next to helnas, quite few new cuts and scrapes. She smiled, rather brutaly towards the man and coughed, "Well... For what it's worth, You pissed her off." She watched the thrashing grass as the Lioness paced back and forth snapping and snarlining, "Did I ever apologize for that time I got you in trouble with Banta...or was it Bella...? You know, the time I shoved you into the tent while she was half dressed?" She snickers, crouching slightly and slowly picking up her longsword that'd fallen into the dirt.

Tieg Tieg perked an eyebrow slightly as Ben entered the tent, wondering what his presence could imply. Was the other man recovered, or had he worsened to the point to require assistance? His tension, though subtle, was easily taken in by his high strung mate. The woman turned to face the tent flaps, wringing her hands slightly before her, unconciously. At Ben's greeting, she bobbed a quick nod in acknowledgement before moving to set herself to a new task to occupy her hands, and thoughts. Wrinkling his nose slightly, Tieg gestured for the tall man to join him in the middle of the tent, straightening slightly more. He stifled a sigh as his mate busied herself, looking to Ben. "Of course. You may speak freely, as well. This is my mate," he finished, inclining his head towards the woman with a faint, fond smile. Helnas Helnas heard the snarling as Leona scuffled with her lioness. He wanted to turn, to aid her, but the predator before him demanded his attention. She could, and would, tear him apart if given the opportunity. The young hunter wondered briefly what had driven this group of lionesses to stalk them. There was no scarcity of prey. He released a sigh of relief as he felt Leona at his shoulder, heard her speak. Clearly, she had won. Before him still, the lone lioness stalked back and forth, angered at his defense. He chuckled wryly, half smirking. "Story of my life, pissing off women, ain't it?" At her words, he bit his lip to keep from laughing, already nocking another arrow. Drawing the bowstring taut, he sighted along the arrow and spoke. "It was Banta, and no. You never did." Aiming, he pulled the few more inches before releasing the arrow to let it fly. "Although... it wasn't altogether unpleasant. Until she started throwing things."

Leona Leona smiled breifly, then dove into the grass into the direction of the arrow's flight, a snarl and a swipe greeted her on the other side. The tension kept Leona's mind off the urge, a strong demanding urge for her to change and assert or claim over the lioness' around the loden, again, Leona ignored it and rolled in the opposite direction of the swipe, catching the paw, and luckely nothing else upon her shoulder as she deftly thrust her sword down the lioness' throat. She cursed as the heavycat landed fully atop her, jaws limply around her throat. Tears brimmed the womans eyes. She was not normaly this....savage or careless... especially with things larger than her, "ow... Helnas..?... " Sh swallowed carefully, mindfull of the rows of razor sharp teeth still teethered to her neck, she would definalty be praying willfully to her goddess in thanks that she lived through her attept at showing off. "...remind me...to never...ever...show off like that again...."

Ben With a nod Ben took a set across from Tieg and began to speak "What was said to Kit early today? if it was about Gabriel then i need to know what was said Please." with that Ben looked as if he had stubbed his toe.

Helnas Helnas tried to grab for Leona as she dove after the lioness, cursing as she managed to escape him. He rushed to follow at the snarl that greeted her, casting his bow aside in the tall grass to grasp for his belt dagger. Leona rolled, catching the cat's swipe on her shoulder as she drove her blade into the beast's throat. Worry shot through him as the lioness's weight fell upon his companion, once-powerful jaws resting around her throat. Without pause, the young man tucked away his dagger, his other hand already reaching to seize the lioness and pull her off of Leona. The plainsmen knelt beside her in the grass to look her over, reaching to tilt her head back to better see her throat. "You damn well better not!" he began heatedly. Once satisfied that her throat was alright, he seized her shoulders to haul her up to sit. "Do you want to give me a heart attack, woman?" Tieg Tieg watched as Ben seated himself, frowning slightly. "Honestly, not much was said. Your friend asked if this Gabriel had been present. I told him that the man had already passed through, regrettably. Then, I gave him the dagger that had been left in Gabriel's tent when he left." The therian shrugged his shoulders slightly. "Clearly, it invoked a reaction in the lad. Is there anything else I may do to help you? Perhaps I may question my hunters and scouts... someone must have seen some traces of him."
