Kailyn stepped off the bottom of the staircase, now entering the tavern that was below the inn, and where all the business was kept. Sniffing the scents of fresh baked bread and the evenings special which must have been cabbage, carrots, and corned beef, she felt her stomach urge for food. Even though her main diet was meat, and she enjoyed to hunt, she still liked the "human food" as her brother called it. She found a small table for two in one corner of the room and sat at it, facing the people, realizing there weren't many in there. The barmaid came to fetch her order just about as soon as she was seated.
"How may I help you this eve ma'am?"
She wasn't sure of what to say, Jason always ordered for her. She was in the mood for hot cocoa and asked for that and the day's special.
The lady nodded and said, "m'name's Marie if ya need anything else darling. I'll be right back," and wisped away in a room behind the bar, she assumed was the kitchen. Kailyn went ahead and pulled her hood down so she could see better and looked around at all the people, while she waited. Marie seemed to have appeard in front of Kailyn. She wondered off in her own little world, daydreaming about things. Slightly startled she almost fell out of her chair. Marie caught her shoulder w/ one hand and put down Kailyn's drink with the other. "You ok miss? Looked like you weren't /here/ for a min."
Kailyn shook it off and looked at the lady. She had long curly brown hair, and emerald green eyes. She looked like she could have been a few years older than her brother. She was a busty looking lady, ofcourse that could have been helped by the tight brown, leather corset she was wearing over a poofy, low cut, white tunic. Marie shook her looking for an answer. Comming back to reality, she said, "yeah, I'm, I'm fine."
A bell went off in the other room, "well, then if your sure, I'll be right back, your food should be done." She went off again and seconds later came back with a steaming plate of what Kailyn expected. She began to eat as it touched the table, having no problem w/ it's heat.
Meanwhile, Jason wakes up to a knock on the door. He looks around and sees that Kailyn has run off for some adventure and shakes his head. He goes to open the door, dagger at hand, just incase, and opens it to see that it's the Inn keeper. Tim was a short, squat man w/ beady eyes. He had a full, fuzzy, grey beard and long grey hair, held back in a briad. Jason let him in and offered the other chair by the fire. He took it glad to see he wasn't busy. "I need to discuss some important stuff with you young man." without letting Jason say a word he continued, "I think your parents are alive. At least one of them, anyway." Jason, looked at him like he was a crazy man, but curosity overcame his doubt of this man's words. "What makes you say this?" He listened intently as the man went on. " I've only ever met your mother once. Iroically it was when she was pregnant with you. Your father was ill and she made the trip alone, against his will. And a few weeks ago, I could have swarn she was here in the tavern traveling with two younger people. A male and a female, who looked like they could be the same age, and facial features like they could all be related." Jason interupted him at this point. "So you're also saying my two eldest siblings are alive as well." Now becomming aggervated a bit, he got up and opened the door. He didn't want to hear anymore right now, he needed to think. The man nodded and told him he had more when he was ready for it, and left. Jason shut the door and got dressed quickly. He went down stairs through the tavern and walked out the doors, not noticing his sister sitting in the corner eating. He need to change, to run, to hunt.
Kailyn, just by chance looked up as her brother crossed the room. She was finnishing her meal. He seemed pretty steamed about something, she thought to herself, mebbe he needs to vent a bit. She took her time finnishing up her food, paid Marie and walked out the door to follow him.
