Kid Kid grinned, shouldering her spear and nodding, any semblence of her namesake vanashing as she slipped from the camp quietly, barefoot and glad in lioncloth and a thick strap across her chest she made very little sound slinking through the grass outisde of the camp. She Paused, she had a sixth sense when it came to hunting, though her mind was completely elsewhere. ...Bolas... Wonder what he plans on doing with those. She mentally shrugged it off and slid her spear from her shoulder, She glanced over her shoulder at Shetan, her hair moving out of her eyes momuntarily before settling, she mouthed a 'behind me.' before thinning the grass carefully, A gazelle that must've wandered too far stood drinking from a small stream before some bushes, She glanced to Shetan, arching aneyebrow to see if he wanted to try the kill or if he wanted her to.

Shetan Shetan returned the young woman's grin with one of his own, moving to follow her from the camp, his movements somewhat quieter than a man his size should be. Allowing her to take the lead was certainly no hardship. He could observe her and quite easily see past her as well. He held his bola loosely in one hand, feeling the grass brush against his knees and thighs. It certainly nearly reached Kid's waist in taller parts. When Kid paused to look over her shoulder, the therian merely nodded with an amused smirk. Yet again, staying behind her was no hardship. Still, as she parted the grass carefully, he sidled closer to stand just over her, looking on curiously. Spotting the gazelle, and the stream, he could have kicked himself. Twice even. Not only had he missed the stream, hidden within the tall grass, but he should have realized. The grasses were lusher around the small source of water, even allowing for bushes. Returning his attention to Kid, the therian shook his head slightly, denying a urge to leap at the creature so close by. Leaning close, he spoke quietly, his face just over her shoulder near her ear. "Your find, your kill little one." He grinned slightly, nudging the young woman. "Claim your due." Downwind of the pair, another hunter moved silently through the grasses, causing only a ripple in his passing. A pair of golden brown eyes peered through the stalks of grass, seeking glimpses of the tall Outlander and the Plainswoman. Aganos felt his lips curl back over his teeth slowly. He didn't trust the stranger. His lips curled further as his ears folded back. And with good cause. He's a loner. The male didn't have the mingled scents of a Pack or family, although the scent of wolf clung to him. Aganos shook his head roughly as Kid's scent mingled with the larger therian's on the air.He couldn't confront the other therian... yet. Kid was with him and he didn't wish to frighten her. The wolf released his breath in a slow sigh, conflicted. If he had to protect the lass from this stranger, what could he do? Charging in would frighten her. Perhaps drive her away from him forever. And he loved the girl. He had been Uncle 'Nos since she was just a squirming child. Aganos rose with a low whimper. All he could do for now was watch and wait.

Kid Kid nodded and crouched low, her breathing slowed as she slipped back around the way they came and made short work of making sure she was downwind of the Gazelle. She easily spotted Shetan as he remained where he was in the grass. She filed away her thoughts for the moment and shifted a bit closer, easing forewards just enough to get as close as she needed to b e. Gazelle's were notoriously fast, she'd need to be faster. The small antlered beast raised it's head just a hair before Kid was ontop of it, her spear driven through spine, ribs and heart to pin it to the ground, She doubted even a skilled hunter would be able to get close enough like that to make a kill. He spear held the kicking beast firmly in place. She'd missed it's heart, barely. Poor aim on her part, pulling her dagger from between her breasts she reached down and sharply hissedi n pain as a hoof nearly shattered her shin, limping slightly she drew the knife across the thrashing animals throat, bleeding it out before sitting down to study the deep gouge on her shin, she refused to let any show of pain mar her face as she tenderly put pressure on it, waiting for Shetan with a smile.

Shetan Shetan watched silently as Kid worked her way around, moving further downwind. Crouched low in the grass, he waited to see the young woman's skill. Truly it was both a pleasure and a torment. She moved as quietly and skillfully as he could have wanted, but the wolf in him longed to move in on the gazelle. He only kept himself from shifting from foot to foot through conscious effort. He would want to kick himself again if he alerted the woman's prey of their presence. His jaws ached to change as he watched her creep closer. Unconsciously, he licked his lips, his breath hastening eagerly just before she struck. An eager sound escaped him as the lass pinned the beast, his tensed body surging forward from his limited cover before he was truly capable of thinking the action through. The creature lived, kicking frantically to attempt to free itself from the spear thrust through it. He checked the instinctive urge to lash out at the gazelle with a hand, sending it instead to reach for his dagger. Already, the young woman was doing the same. The beast's thrashing sent a hoof lashing at her leg and Shetan winced sympathetically as he heard the impact, surprised that the lass only released a hiss of pain. Then his attention was claimed briefly by the flow of rich, coppery blood pouring from the gazelle's slit throat, intoxicating even now. Shetan growled at himself briefly, striving to push away such distractions and the instinctual urges they prompted. He managed to get his conflicting instincts under control as he reached the lass, casting the downed creature a discrete longing look, before moving to crouch before Kid. He returned her smile, reaching toward her injured leg, a sort of humor glinting in his eyes. "Hmm, nice kill. Bad cost. Let me see?" Aganos Aganos watched from the distance. He was quite proud of Kid as she stalked around her prey and made the attack. Then he realized that she was hurt in the process. And whined. He couldn't approach her, and the other wolf was quickly doing so. Aganos folded his ears back tightly, his body laying low in the tall grass. The scent of the gazelle's blood, and Kid's, reached his nose. Even if he changed now, how could he explain just happening along? Much less without a stitch of clothing...

Kid Kid sighed softly, pulling her bloodsoaked hand from the wound, it was still oozing slightly, but the majority of the wound was sealing, though the cut was deep and to the bone. She hissed as she extended her leg to allow Shetan better access to it. "I'll be fine, Sore for a wekk likely but fine. Could have been worse... I don't usualy hunt Gazelle - This is the reason why." She grinned weakly, It Had been a stroke of luck. Usualy they'd bolt and she'd have to chuck her spear at them to pin them to the ground through a soft spot, like their stomach. "Think it'll be enough?"

Shetan Shetan shifted closer to better see the young woman's injury. It was better than he expected, although the gash was deep and still oozed blood sluggishly. He pressed tenderly at the edges, seeking to avoid causing further bleeding. He chuckled with a nod at her query, leaning back to rest on one knee so that he could look to the downed gazelle. "That should do nicely for now. And that," he paused, nodding toward her leg. "Is whyI prefer ranged weapons against large hooved beasties." An amused thought brought a slow smirk to his face. Except maybe the gilded pony. I'd like to battle him bare handed... Shaking his head slightly, Shetan shifted to rise to his feet. "You sit back, I'll prepare your kill." With that, the large man reached for a dagger secreted in his boot and moved to the gazelle's corpse to begin.

Kid Kid watched as Shetan began to prepar her kill, Normaly she'd have refused, but for once she saw the wisdom in his words and merely settled to tending to her cut, carefully standing with a soft intake of breath, pulling her spear from the corpse she leans on it, "Things could have been worse. And I actually like close attackes liek this. Shws the true skill between a hunter and it's prey. IF your good you walk away with just a cut and the other's dinner." She grinned, looking over the kill as Shetan works it.

Shetan Shetan knelt over the downed gazelle, and began to carefully skinning away the hide, in case the Plainsmen wanted to cure it, after Kid removed her spear. He quickly finished cleaning the girl's kill and set aside what they would keep. Casting a glance toward the young woman watching him, he checked the urge to lick his hands clean and moved to bury what they couldn't use in a shallow hole. It wouldn't keep the scent from being caught, but it would smother it some. Shetan smirked. And allow me to test a theory. Rising, he moved to the small stream and crouched to wash the blood, dirt and gore from his hands and his dagger before resheathing it in his boot. Wiping his hands on the side of his trews, the therian looked to Kid, leaning on her spear. "Want any help back, or wish to walk on your own?"

Kid Kid scooped up her fair share of the kill and eyed Shetan with a soft smile, "I've had far worse. I'll be fine." She waited on the lad before beginning back towards the camp, limping dangerously, implying a possible fracture to the bone. She hissed slightly but continued along, "So Shetan, Do you travel alot? outside fo the plains and the islands?"

Shetan Shetan paused to note the young woman's actions with a slight grin of approval. She was no shirker, nor did she bother to whimper and whine at her injuries. Very nice. If she hurt herself in the process, it was her choice and folly. Just might make some entertainments all the more amusing later too, a part of him whispered persuasively. All the same, his eyes darkened faintly in a show of concern at her hiss of pain. He made as if to extend a hand to allow her to lean her weight on him instead of the injured leg, then seemed to think better of it. It wouldn't do to insult her, implying that she was weak, now would it? So instead, he sidled closer, pacing his steps to match hers as he spoke. "I like to roam, so yes. Before I saw your camp's fire, I had actually been traveling some time from the mountains, east of here. I'm heading toward the Nordak, and the lands beyond it. The lands there are much like my island."

Kid Kid shifted her weight, and the load she was carrying to keep it off her leg as much as possible. She caught Shetans movements from the corner of her eye and ignored it when he withdrew. Evidently he knew of some of their custms, "She quietly nodded, listening to where he was headed, "Hmn, I've never been beyond the borders of my Tribes lands. I plan on traveling, to bring back some news and some new culture to my tribe." She eyed the camp as they approached it. "next time, we try it your way, I've neve seen bolas used to catch prey."

Shetan Shetan perked an eyebrow, casting her a sidelong glance as they continued back toward camp. "Really?" He looked to her a bit more openly, before speaking again, his tone lighter. "You know, some lands aren't safe for a lone female traveller." He snorted, disdain entering his voice. "Seem to think that women either shouldn't, or can't, handle themselves. Make travel all the harder for them, when they can."

Kid Kid arched an eyebrow, "They don't encounter many plainswomen then do they?" She smirks, She'd have to see this for herself some day. She looked to her leg, the wound had opened again and was slowly oozing. She frowned and laid her share of the meal down and sighed happily as she settled down, Her mothers look of concern brought a slight smile to Kid's face before she began to tend to her own wound. She kept a small poultice in her things for this occassion, asn't the first time she'd liekly broken a bone or had a deep cut. Packing the horribly painful ointment into the wound and wrapping a thick strap of leather across it Kid blinked the tears away. It felt like someone'd begun beating on her leg with a hammer. "Gazelle." Her mom nodded, Her father rubbed his chin, rather proud of the girl. She looked to Shetan and smiled, "Thank you for the help."

Shetan [/b] Shetan returned the lass's smirk and shook his head. "Clearly not," he replied, amusement tinging his voice. As they returned to the camp, Shetan paused to watch Kid relieve herself of her burdens and move to settle down. The large man left his share of the hunt's spoils beside the rest before moving to seat himself near his pack again. "Your daughter is quite the huntress, plainsman." Shetan looked to the young woman's father, noting his pride. "Your teachings?" At Kid's thanks, he paused to glance from her father with a wink. "My pleasure. I wish that I could enjoy it again." His gaze strayed from the youth, to the western horizon. "But, you need time to mend and I fear my goals shall tug me from the plains too soon." At the edges of the camp, Aganos thrilled at the lone wolf's words. Good. He will be far and gone soon, with luck. Shaking himself slightly, the red wolf crept through the tall grass, mindful of the ripple he caused in it. He would fetch his clothes and return to the camp as himself once more.

Kid Kid stretched slowly, beaming slightly with her own pride as her father nodded slightly, "I would take the credit but she learned from her mother how to be smarter and faster. I merely taught her how to use the spear." He settled down to help prepare the meal. "I'll heal. Where do your travels intend to take you, Shetan?"
