The arctic regions of Odamar, along the northern coasts, are dotted with longhouses, shipping ports and the large people of the north. The Northmen are expert sailors, explorers and traders, although they seem to enjoy pillaging just as much. The cold climate encourages families to lodge together through the colder months, their dwellings housing extended families. The people of the north travel and trade throughout all the port towns of Odamar. Often they share wild tales of beast-men in the western isles, although such are usually put down as a product of their affection for strong drinks.
Hrot Hrot is the largest port town in the arctic regions of Odamar. It is positioned at the northern mouth of the Nodak river which runs through much of Odamar, emptying near the southern jungles. The port town is run by the Hrotal Clan and their allies.

As Kitsune sits at a table in the corner of the local tavern he see the blundering oaf Ben chasing the barmaid trying to get some more ail as he sighs. "Ben u don't need anymore to drink, now get over here and sit down." Said the small man as he points to the seat next to him. "Oh ho ho are we getting jealous little fox of mine." said the tall north men as he stumbles over to the table smiling his haft cocked grin.
"No Ben I'm not jealous of that little trolley moth. Any ways we have to talk about what we found out about him." said Kit with a smug look on his face. "Why do we haft to look for him again? I'm finally back in Hort my home town. Besides you'll wear yourself out again, and I can't have my pet tiered to night." said Ben as he leaned forward to give Kit a kiss. As Kit pulled back he stated "If you think I'm going to let you kiss me your dead wrong."
as the two continued to argue and fight Kit yawned. "Well I'm not going to sit hear and fight with a you Ben I'm going to bed." as Kit got up to stand he could see the snow outside glowing in the lantern's light. "Ben will you walk me to my room?" said Kit with a tone that almost sounded sad. As the north man looked at Kit he could see his pain. "Yeah friend, but only if u give me a kiss." "Forget it I'll go by myself." said Kit as he turns and walks away. "uh KIT don't be mad." said the north man as he stubbles behind Kit to bed

Said the tall north man as he gently rubs Kit's back "but for now lets just get some sleep 'kay." said the man as he gives Kit a small peck on the cheek. "you ass you want me to give you another scare you try kissing me again." hissed Kit as hes lips curled up.
"Come on now where lovers aren't we?" said the north man as he pins Kits arms to the wall in anticipation of Kits fists. "Ben so help me goddess I'll kill you if u don't let me go." "No can do, you'll haft to promise to not hit me?" said the tall man with a smile "FINE NOW LET ME GO!" said kit as he tries to struggle "I kinda like you....." started the north man as Kit starts to cry. "Ben let me know one thing why do u stand by me when I'm so weak." "Huh...well i gess..its because i get to protect you and make you mine i think." said the man with a strange feeling in his gut. As Kit continues to cry the man cradles him deep in his arms. As the man starts to rock he notice kit is sleeping.
"Tsh a sleep again." as Ben picks up his sleeping friend he says one single word "why....."

On the edge of the artic where the woodlands, artic and Nordak river meet, on a mountian side, rested what once was a house, now left in ruins. It looked like a pentagon with a court yard in the middle with the largest tree in the area being the center point of the court yard and even the house. The house was made of stone from the mountain’s hard rocky regions, and had been there for many, many moons. The same family surname had lived in it as humans by day and their sub race by night for all that time. About a decade ago, you could have spotted, perhaps children, or snow leopard cubs playing with fox pups. in the yard or in the tree they called their play house. The tree had a small opening at the root that was a hidden passageway to a house inside the tree. He had many floors but no windows unless there was a hole from a branch forming so it’s true nature could be hidden at all times. Now, however, you'd be lucky to find any signs of life except for the vegetation and small animals that have made it their home now. At least not unless you looked carefully enough. Deep inside the tree , inside the children's play house, two of the eleven family members have hid for about 4 years now, ever since the destruction of their home, by the humans. Why they remained there, they don't even know for sure. Maybe it was the confusion of how people could be so cruel and what to do now. Or perhaps it was the memories of their childhood and the knowledge of their ancestors they kept them there for all this time. As the morning dawned, a young snow leopard crept to the top of the tree amongst the thick branches to watch the sunrise from over the mountain. It seemed to her, that they got the vary last of the morning sunrise and it was the most beautiful to her, though she‘d never seen it any other way. Being a mandatory shape shifting night, she hadn’t slept long but sleep would soon overcome her for the rest of the morning hours and some of the afternoon. She knew her brother had planned to leave the area soon and she regretted it. They’d lasted this long so why couldn’t they just stay, she thought to herself as the bright orb lit up the sky and pure warm sunlight bathed her white and black spotted fur. Her blue-green eyes squinted as she watch until it was fully above the mountain top. She then closed her eyes and curled up in the top hollow of the tree, unseen and next to what looked like a small white fluff ball, to sleep and regain her strength for the next evening.
Later that afternoon, she awoke once again, stretching and allowing the painful but necessary reconstruction of her bones changing into a young girl that looked as though she was in her mid teens, though she matured early and only looked it. Her dirty blonde hair whisped around in her face as she got to her feet. She was now alone, the fluffy white lump she laid next to earlier, was no longer there. He must have left already, she thought. She opened the opening to the tree from the top and went inside it carefully climbing down the latter. She went down the many flights of stairs, 13 in fact, till she reached the bottom where the kitchen and living room area was. There she found her brother who was sipping some of the last sources of tea they had left and munching on some of the meat from the hunt the evening before. “Good afternoon, Kailyn,” he greeted her and held his arms out wanting a hug as always. She ran up to him and sat in his lap to hug him and stole a bite of his food. She was starving she thought, “is there any more or did you eat it all again?” she asked with a smile on her face. With his mouth full, he nodded towards the sink area where he had left her some food out on the counter incase he wasn’t there when she got up. He had planned on going to town to trade some of the things they’d made, and was considering allowing her to stay home. Of course he couldn’t go to the nearest town because they might recognize him and be back for more vengeance even though they’d likely forgotten their own sins after four years. But he still debated it. He wasn’t sure if she’d even want to. But it was getting too dangerous for her continue going with him. She wasn’t fond of humans and wasn’t completely able to control the shape change yet. She likely wouldn’t be able to for a few more years. He’d only been able to accomplish this for a few years himself. Though he still has trouble sometimes when he’s under loads of stress. He admitted to himself that she was getting really good at it but still just about every night she’d change, unless it was close to the new moon. It was easiest for her not to then. And right now, wouldn’t be the best time. However if she stayed, no telling what might happen.

As the sun starts to rise Kitsune notice music coming form the edge of the room. He didn't know how he got into bed but he was gratefully that he was there. As he stands the room starts to spin. "What the hell happened last night, all i can remember is u kis.....Oh Ben." said Kit as he smiled widely
As Kit stared at Ben he could see he could remember last nights fight and he was going to kill him. "you kissed me last night didn't you Ben." said Kit as he slide out of bed "Now now Kit it was just a peck on the cheek no harm in that." said Ben as he set his lute out of the way "and besides i went and found out more about that guy your looking for and got us a mark to take out." Said the north man as he tries to keep out of reach of the young were-fox. As Kit heard the news he stopped "what did you find out about him?" "He has been spotted around the area of the nordak river, and the marks on the way there." said the man as Kit rushed to gather his things "We can make it there in a day or twooo......" Said the young man as he started to fall "Kitsune damn it your still exhausted from the first time you need to rest for a few days tops and besides we need previsions and poor Bain is with my father and i don't want to go see him." said the man as he helped Kit to his feet "Fine will rest for now but when its time i will leave no matter what."

“Jason!” she yelled as she waved her hand in front of her spacey brother’s face with a mouth full of the hare her brother caught the night before. She had changed fully and he wouldn’t allow her to hunt, though she knew how to vary well, and as any snow leopard would, enjoyed it. He sat there with a glazed look about his dark blue eyes, for a few minutes now, and she wanted to know why. She leaned foreword and knocked on his head like one would a door, before entering, “JASON!” He double took and got up angrily. She jumped back knowing it may have been the wrong thing to do, however grateful that it woke him from his trance. “What’d you do that for?” he stood to his feet to come after her, rubbing his forehead. “You zoned out there for a minute Jase, I was worried about you.” He sat back down, sighing “Oh” as he went back into a deep thought. “What’s wrong?” she stepped towards him and was now worried about what he was thinking. He finally looked up at her after a few more minutes of silence and asked, “Would you want to stay here, at the tree house, while I go to town? Or do you want to leave with me?” She plopped on the floor sitting up with her jaw dropped. She looked at him as if he was a madman. “ You expect me to stay here? Alone?” He started to speak again, but she cut in, “What if I run out of food and supplies? What if you never return? What if those people come back, Jase?” He considered what she said and didn‘t want her to blow up on him again. He‘d rather her to calm down and stay. She had at least one point that he put into consideration. “Look Kailyn, you’re 12 now. You’re growing up so vary fast. And you’ll be 13 in a few months. I trust you. You’ll be fine.” he told her. She knew exactly why he didn’t want her going with him. For one, he thought of her safety -and his- incase she couldn‘t control the change like she seldom did. And for another, he knew himself-as she did- all too well. He would want to hook up with someone while he was there and didn’t want a little sister poking around in that sort of ‘business’. But she really didn’t want to be alone. She wasn’t ready for that and neither was he. Jason almost constantly had Kailyn’s well being in the front of his mind. He gave in and decided they’d go, but they’d take their time, in a day or two, unsure if they’d return to their home. He’d miss it and hoped that if it were ever found that it’d be by good people, preferably, in his mind, their kind.

As Ben laced his leather boots he notice Kit staring toward the west, "You miss the island don't you? No need to act like your strong enough to continue going on this way, you eventually going to run into him and then what? You'll fight him and clam your revenge. Kit ...." said the large man as he closed in on his friend. He could see that the young man was ready to cry. "You don't know what its like to be betrayed like i have, remember Ben you can hardly remember your sisters name, so don't try to tell me what i feel." said the young man as he turns his head to the door. "Besides you only follow me because I'm the one you want to bed the most but after that then what Ben? Then what Ben? Exactly you'll leave." said the boy as he brushed past him and out the door.
"great Ben you just fucked that up." Said the north man as he runs after his friend "Kitsune stop your in no condition to run in the snow!" Shouted the north man as he runs out the door and into the cold arctic.
As Kit runs he can see his prey, the one who did this to him. It makes his blood boil and his skin crawl. As he make his way to the end of the village he can feel the need to change and run....

as the young fox ran he knew he was going to change even tho he knew how to control his changing he found out that if he ran in his bestial form he could think better. while he ran he looked to see if any unwanted eyes were about "good no ones around." said the boy as he striped form his cloth and tied them in to a bundle that would sit on his shoulders in his fox form.
As his body begins to twist and bend his shiny grey fur begins to grow all over his body. Finally after a few minuets the change was done. There was now a Grey fox standing where the young man was at.

OOC: (a few days later) IC: As the sun set over the Nordak River Jason nodded to his sister to signal her to turn fully into her bestial form. Not many people traveled this area or the way they were headed. Most would go to the Nordak, and follow it to Hrot. But they would travel in a steady Northeast pattern that would lead them straight to it. He and Kailyn traveled this route many times before. Just this time Jason was worried because their arrival would fall on the time that they both will need to change in respect for the goddess. and he’d planned it so nicely before. He just didn’t sell as much as he usually did, therefore he didn’t get as much supplies as they needed, on their last trip. Plus Kailyn matured a lot since the last time they traveled. She no longer looked exactly 12 going on 13. She looked as if she was nearing the age to mate. He was afraid of what the sick men, human, fae and therian alike, would do or say when she went by or was near them. He also worried of what it may drive him to do. They both hunched over to allow the change to reconstruct their bodies, as the sunset blossomed with colors, and the sky began turning more dark purple, and deep blue from the orange-red horizon. They would go to Hrot to exchange what all they had on their backs (ooc: in packs specially made so they could wear it in all three forms. Ic:) for what they needed for now to start their new life and a new adventure. Jason was at the age where he needed to find a mate to produce offspring since it is expected of him, and Kailyn, before they would both realize it, would be in the same situation. He wanted to make sure she found a good husband, one that would treat, respect, and protect her they way she should be and deserved to be -like a queen- he thought. He, on the other hand was looking for a respectful female that would take care of his children. Weather he would stay with her or not he didn’t know. His parent’s love was so faithful and pure, he wasn’t sure if that type of relationship was a possibility. He saw it as a one in a million chances type union. Whatever happened he hoped he was ready for it as well as everyone it would effect. They traveled on until the sun came up and they slept for a few hours. The sound of a bird, woke Kailyn from her deep slumber. She had been exhausted from traveling the through the night and knew they would continue when her brother felt it was time to head on. She felt a rumble in her stomach and felt the need to hunt and feed. She spotted a quick flash of orange and black. As she listened, heard the flapping of feathers, and then she set out on the prowl. Tern sounded nice for a snack to settle her hunger for now. She kept all her senses open listening for the squawk the bird made or more of the noise from the feathers, she sniffed the stiff, cold air to try and catch it’s sent. She smelt many things. Then she found it. The smell of a tern. She followed the sent and breathed it in, she crept behind a pile of snow, knowing it was on the other side downing a fish. She Pounced on it, and held it down with her paws and ripped it’s head off. She dug into the flesh and ate what she liked leaving only the bones, feathers, feet, and beak. She ate what was left of the fish as well, before burring the evidence and took off back to where her brother had kept them in a hideout for the morning. On her way she looked up to see approximately what time of day it was. Noticing that it was around midday she decided she’d wake him and see if he wanted to get going. She slowed at the sound of shuffling around the pond nearby. She lied low listening intently. She not only could hear it getting closer, she could feel it. Her heart raced and her eyes were wide. Scared, she burried herself in the snow, hiding her entire body and kept a small hole for her nose and eyes to peek out, wondering just what it was. It kept getting closer whatever it was, it wasn’t that big. She thought for a moment and realized it couldn’t be any bigger than her brother in his bestial form. She got up figuring he woke while she was gone and had come to look for her and got out of her hole. Then she saw it, not white (as she expected), but bright orange-red ears peaking over the mound of snow. She stopped dead in her tracks. She’d never seen an animal exactly of this sort before and was unsure of what it was until the creature reached to top of the mound. It was a fox, like her brother, however it’s color was different. This boggled her mind. She’d only ever known white artic foxes. Even in her travels with her brother or her father, before the fateful night, she’d seen a lot of different animals but never an orange-red fox.

She sniffed the stiff air once again, to see if the smell seemed at all familiar. She knew that there were other therians in the area, why wouldn’t there be? But had never encountered one, except for the Polar Bear her father introduced her to years before. She knew she smelt something earlier but put it off to the back of her mind. She inhaled the scents from the animal, it was definitely male, and she was positave that it was a shape-shifter too. She wasn’t sure of how to act, since she was alone with this stranger so she decided to go with normal, even though fear nipped at her paws to run. She looked at him with her head slightly cocked to the side, wondering what he was doing in the middle of nowhere with no one with him. Then she thought, “he must think the same about me.” The young fox came trotting up a small hill of snow, with no worries that he would be found by anyone. No one, he thought, would travel this way. It’s much too dangerous. He smelt another fox nearby earlier with another species that was female. He wasn’t sure of the other species but knew it was feline. As he reached the top of the hill, the scent only got stronger until he spotted her. Her eyes deepest blue, like the ocean, her coat was a luscious white, with black spots and the tips of her black ears matched the tip of her tail. And he figured she was some kind of leopard. It looked as though she’d been playing in the snow after she had a meal. He knew she was a therian, but was unsure about the fox. He was too far off to be able to tell just yet. He’d been suffering a small cold from the winter air, and his scenes weren’t the same. He was certainly not used to this weather, nor did he enjoy it all that much. He did enjoy the snow, but only every once and a while, not all the time. He knew he was getting out of the constant snow and nearing the woodlands, however because there were too many signs of it. Too many trees for a tundra. It seemed that it got thicker and thicker the more he traveled. He casually walked in front of her noting her existence and walked on. He planned to wait until she left, if she did, making a nest like to sleep a bit, showing he wasn’t afraid of her or her companion. He knew they couldn’t be mates, least not yet. She wasn’t matured enough yet, though that may be what the other was waiting for. Kailyn looked at the fox as he came over the mound. He had a small pack on his back that he must have kept his clothes in. But is that all he had? She watched him carefully, standing as still as possible, not wanting to scare him or make him want to hurt her. She was curious as to why he didn’t stop to chat or play. She knew her brothers were always playful little pups but maybe it was different when they were older, she thought. She wasn’t exactly sure how old he was, but knew he couldn’t be that old. He still smelled young and adventurous. But she could sense he didn’t have the easiest life, she did as a young child. Now it was different. She felt that she was a completely different person. She knew her brother tried to make things the best for her but he was only one person, and there’s not a whole lot one person can do. After the fox went past her, she sprinted off to find her brother, still in the small cave like crevice he’d found for them to get some rest in. she nudged him lightly at first and he didn’t move. So then she shook him to try and wake up but he still wouldn’t move. So, she decided she would have to wake him the “hard/fun” way. She changed to hybrid form, thanking the goddess that the cave was tall enough for her to do so, and she picked up a handful of snow. She packed it nice and tightly and walked towards the entrance of the cave. She some more snow and made a few of these before she threw them all at her brother quickly and ran off out, then above the cave in a nicely sized tree. She changed back to bestial form and waited.

as the tall north man made his way to the edge of town he knew what was about to happen. "Damn it Kit you need to learn to stay calm." said the man as he tries to follow his friend in to the arctic. "Kitsune!" calls the man as he follows the fox tracks in the fresh morning snow.
As Kit runs he allows his bestial state of mind to take control as his human mind try to calm himself "Kit you need to calm yourself you know Ben is only trying to help us he loves us." says a voice in the back of his mind as another one agues "No one loves us, look what happened last time we thought that we lost the only thing that matters we lost Sakura and he did it." as his personalties collide in the back of his mind his bestial form begins to yep and howl out of frustration

Ben tried to follow his friend. He knew that Kit was unstable when it came to the death of his twin sister Sakura. It had been 3 years since his sisters murder and he still lost it once and a wile. Ben could usually stop him from running but today was different today was the anaversity of her death and it was the day of a full moon. Ben always let him go on the day and night of the full moon for Kit's kind it was almost mandatory to change the night of a full moon. Ben always would wake up the next morning and Kit would be their next to him. Tonight thou was different in all the time he knew Kit the moon was never full on this day but this time it was. So Ben worried about his beloved Kit.
Kit didn't know how much Ben did care he was to consumed with revenge. As Ben continued to try and find his friend he remembers the first time he layed eyes on Kit.... "Your awake I almost thought you where died...." Said Kit with a smile. From that moment on Ben has been in love with Kit and he vowed to get that bubbly cheerful Kit back at all cost

Kit ran with all his might he could see that day in perfect view. As he always did on this day. As the horrific scene plays over and over in his mind. With each flash of memory his personalties rang out louder. "Its your fault she's died if you hadn't ran away from home she would not have followed you to her death." said one as another starts "No if we would have stayed Sakura would have been with mother the day she was slaughtered by thous humans on the shore town at least she died fast and not tortured like mother." As the two battled over who was to blame Kit stopped as he spotted a snow hair's tracks his bestial form was in full control and it squealed with delight of a hunt.

Kailyn expected to see and hear her brother come out from the cave, instead she heard the snap of a fallen twig in the shallow snow. she looked up and saw a young human male, about her brother's age, maybe a bit younger, coming toward her, appearing to be searching for something. She sniffed the air and realized it was the male fox.. was he stupid to change like that.. surely he knew she was a therian by now but in this form he couldn't find her. unless he spotted her so she stayed very still hoping he'd pass, praying to the goddess, her brother didn't come out. She eyed the young man as he looked around in the snow, and continued past her. When he was out from site, she crawled down, thanking the goddess for protecting them, because she didn't know this stranger, and went back into the cave. Her brother was up and attentive. "what happened out there? I smelled a male." He was in hybrid form and getting ready for a kill. She knew the look on his face. He was overly protective at times. "Nothing" she said, "there was an orange fox our there and then when i ran off to let you know, he must have changed into human form and lost his scent." He looked at her for a second, worried, and then he picked up her stuff and said, "lets get a move on." They traveled day and night with no sign of any more therians until they got closer to Hrot. It took them a lot less time after they picked up their pace and made it there almost a month less than they expected. When they reached to main road of the city, Jason lead the way to their usual inn where they would stay. Their parents had left a nice sized fortune in the basement of the house they found years after they lost them. So instead of having to camp they got a cheap room from an old friend of their fathers. Timothy was an all around nice guy. But he was human. He knew about the therian races and knew they were of that sort and was always willing to help. He had once been in love with a ware-lioness and vowed to help all therians after she was killed by his kind. He didn't charge them much and only charged them because Jason wouldn't stay unless he charged them at least a bit. He told them he wasn't sure how long they were to stay this time cause it wasn't just going to be a trade and go stop. It may be much longer, so he gave them the best room he could afford. It was much nicer than the room they usually had, which was already booked. It had rugs down, rather than bare floors and the bed wasn't crooked. it was a larger bed as well. and it had it's own bathroom, and a small cleaning area for washing up if they wished rather than having to use the public bathroom downstairs. the room itself was massive compared to the other and it had a fireplace at one end and had a large window rather than a small peek hole. Kailyn explored the room for a few minutes before tossing her stuff down next to the bed and crawled into it. Jason went immediately to the fireplace and started a fire, before sitting in the poofy chair next to the table that set in front of the fire. He put his feet up on the table, slouched down and fell asleep. Kailyn watched out the open window until she did as well.

Kailyn woke first, as usual, and saw that her brother was still out cold. The fire he had started were just simmering ashes now. She got up, wanting to explore. She tried to wake him but like always, he didn't wake up enough to go with her. She washed up and put on clean clothes, picked up her purse and belted it around her waist tightly so her pants would have no problem staying up as well. Her brown trousers were kind of big for her, they had once been her oldest sisters and she wasn't quite into them yet, but it was all she had clean, besides a dress she wasn't about to wear when exploring. She picked up her cloak and two daggers, she put in her boots she put on as well, before she put on her cloak, tieing the long straps under her arms and behind her back. Then she kissed her brother on the cheek before heading out the door. She kept her face hidden and her hand on her most avalible dagger to her hand, weary about strangers, imparticularly humans.
