Lyn, Darian, LionHeart Darian smiled and nodded, turing his attention to The knight approaching him, he took a quick stock of the events, made a few mental notes and then acknowledgedthe knight speaking to him with a smile, "Of course, This is my first time within the halowed halls of MidLand castle and I plan for my first trip to be the temple. If you don't mind, I'll take my leave to the temple." He smiled and quickly vanished into the crowd and made his way through to the temple. Arching an eyebrow he looked about the temple and scowled. Reading the services further spurred his ire. How could the commons be able to work around such a schedule? He shook his head, evidently the head preist here was devoute. Immensly but ye gods. Making his way through to the Sol's alter Darian knelt and silently said his litaney, The tip of his longsword resting upon the ground before him as he gripped the pommel loosely. Lyn and LionHeart both bowed slightly LionHeart scowling and shaking hs head once more, "My Lord... Please... " He must've humbled himself before King Roland a hundred times in this very same way, "Sir LionHeart fits much better than Lord... I merely serve to spread your rule.. M'lord..." His face remaind coloured slightly, He was no great man, in his eyes atleast. Lyn Scowled, though for a different reason as she looked to the Lord-Knight. The hollow sound of her thumping, rather hard, the side of the mans plate resounded softly in the air as they both followedthe King, his knights and the Noble woman, "You need to stop that dammit." She eyed the man as he blinked looking to her, "Your king sees fit to honor you, accept it damn you and pride aside. Iswear, You'd not live two moons amongst the plains." Coloring slightly under the smaller womans chiding he quietly held his tongue, drawing a bit more ire from her as well, "You still let a prisoner go." LionHeart growled slightly, silencing the woman, "He earned his freedom." Lyn snorted, "Your brand of Honour'll see you many, many enemies before your time." LionHeart smiled slightly, "Yet none dare touch me since Evidently my brand of honour keeps those who'd make the attempt stay very, very far away." They both continued their small talk as they followed King Roland and Lady Sybelle. Eventually the conversation degraded into a growling and snarling match as LionHeart set the womans fuse off by slighting her out of a feather that had been tied in her hair, Snathing it back Lyn Quickly braded the feathr into the taller mans hair properly, "I swear to the go...." she pauses, snorting, "I swear, If I didn't like you I'd have let every peacock that fancied himself a trveler proposition you if I'd have let you keep that thing praided in like that." LionHeart grinned, "Then why'd you let me do it? Afterall a feather for a lump of metal, you do get what you barter for." Lyn's jaw dropped as she eyed the ring then snarled at the man and dropped back a few paces, looking fit to be tied as he quite merrily laughed at her, "IF I weren't to be married to you I'd kill you!" She blinked, "DAMN YOU!" LionHearts soft laughter echoed through the halls.

Midland Court William inclined his head in a short bow to the freelancer before turning his full attention to the prisoner and the men flanking him. He was, of course, curious about the man and wished to speak with him but it could wait. He knew he importance of communing with one's deity. He suppressed a sly smile, turning to escort the men to the dungeons. If he hurried, perhaps he could spend some time with his priestess. Clement made his way through the departing nobles, trying to hide his irritation at each delay and query. Many sought his counsel, and he was loathe to neglect them, but he wished only to meet the paladin that claimed devotions to the Father alone. So, he endured the attentions of those that hindered his progress with concealed impatience. Once he escaped the castle proper and reached the streets, he was able to evade further delays a bit easier. Nonetheless, by the time he reached the temple, his priests informed him that the knight had already arrived and taken to the altar in the main room. Allowing himself a grimace of distaste, Clement dismissed the man with a wave and went to his private chambers. Changing from his heavy Court robes, he donned a fresh, simpler robe and made for the main room. The man was already kneeling, humbled before the sun god's altar. Unwilling to disturb the man's prayers, and needing to make his own, Clement advanced to kneel beside him, bowing his head reverently. Sybelle strode alongside her king, biting the inside of her lip slightly, her hand resting on his arm. She couldn't help but overhear some of the heated conversation behind her, but neither her nor Roland would be so impolite as to intterupt. Everyone at court knew of Lord-Knight Lionheart's stubborn nature, but it seemed that it had been matched, and Sybelle wasn't at all unpleased that his match was a woman. Roland led the trio into a comfortable study. One wall was dominated by a large fireplace, spreading it's warmth throughout the room. A few chairs and a small divan were settled around the fireplace, to better enjoy the warmth there. The king turned to Sybelle and gestured for her to take one of the seats, graciously. Once she was settled, he looked to Lionheart and his companion, gesturing that they do they same, before settling into a chair. One of the guards that had followed them remained just outside the door, while the other left to fetch servants for the monarch and his guests. Roland smiled amiably, looking over the three before speaking. "I am pleased to have you in Midland once more, Lionheart. You remember Lord Torrence's lady-wife, Sybelle, I assume?" Seated beside him, Sybelle looked to the Lord-Knight with a polite smile, inclining her head to him. Roland looked to the savage woman that accompanied Lionheart, curiosity plain in his features. "Again, I would extend my welcome to you, Lady Ironwolf, and regrets for the reason for our meeting. I pray that you will find the remainder of your time in Midland more pleasant."

Lyndis & LionHeart LionHeart gracefully bowed tohis king before moving to a seat and sitting wearily before brightening in a true smile, "Yes I remember Lady Sybelle." He nodded in a good natured greeting, glad that all promptness and courtesy had been shoveled out the window for the time being. Lyndis moved tosettle herself close enough to LionHeart yet not inbetween anyone as well. She good nauredly waved her hand in the air to dismiss the kings apology,"Please, theres no need for an apology, things've been wrighted that were wrong and yet again LionHeart enamoures himself to those who see him as good and further drags more enemies against him... All in all I'm glad ot have been able to serve some measure of use." LionHeart arched an eyebrow at Lyn's good natured jab at him and easy acceptance of the kings apology. He shook his head in amusement, "The Lady and I are to be wed evidently... That was another part of my reasons for personaly giving a pomp and flush show today M'lord..." Lyns face darkened, "Yes...that..." LionHeart grinned slightly, "'twas her idea, M'leige... and she managed to convince her entourage to return or scatter to make sure her people got the word..." He scowled at the beaming plainswoman, "I come to ask for your say in such M'lord." Darian Darian heard the high preists approach and neither budged, ackowledged nor even drew a breath it seemed as he silently continued his litany by confessing his sins and conveying his humble apologies for past wrongs he had still to atone for. The mans sword dug softly into the stonework below it's tip as he stood and raised his sword in a deeply ritual and formal salute to the sun gods symbole. Taking a deep breath Darian sheathed the sword quitly and softly, crosing his arms in obviouse displeasure as he looked over to highly ornate alter and over ornate interior itself once more as he waited for the high preist to finish his own prayers.

King Roland and Lady Sybelle Roland chuckled at the savage woman's dismissal of his apologies, pleased that she at least seemed to have a fair sense of humor. He looked to Lionheart as the knight lord spoke, incredulity widening his eyes. This was hardly what he had expected. He had jested with William once that he may have to order the man to marry. As a matter of fact, he had idly speculated on how best to advise the man when the time came, to benefit both him and the kingdom. Marriage to a plainswoman had never come to mind... Sybelle managed to hide her surprise better than her king. She looked from the man to his apparent wife-to-be and back before offering a slow smile. "Congratulations, Lord-Knight Lionheart?" Her eyes glinted with a hint of amusement, mingled with some curiosity. Roland recovered as Sybelle spoke, perking an eyebrow slightly. "My say... May I ask how this came about?" Clement Clement had turned the whole of his attention and being to his devotions, once he kneeled beside the freelance knight. His head bowed contritely, his lips moved with his silent prayers as he clasped his hands before him. Time seemed to cease for the man as he immersed himself in his adorations for the solar deity. The colors from the stained glass sun window behind the alter played over the priest, like the fond touch of the god Himself. Once the high priest's prayers were complete, he rose to his feet slowly, his legs stiff from kneeling. Smiling blissfully, the robed man looked about to find Darian standing already, arms crossed over his chest. Clement cleared his throat slightly before straightening and smoothing the front of his robes, unconsciously. "Greetings, and welcome to Sol's Temple."

Lyndis And LionHeart Lyn smiled slightly with a predatory grin, "I won a bet, a rather inconsequentail one, but I won none the less and his sense of humor and honor is what's bound him to me." LionHeart grunted, "I had a running bet andallowed a small bit of pride to show. My men decided to hold some.... combative games and took bets on who would win, everyone was fair game to be calledo ut and she blothly walked into the ring and declaired she'd easily beat their best, I declined. I am not the best of my men. She beat eveyone. To a man. And it was her sense of humor, not mine. She bet me that if she beat me then she'd join with my men and learn from us until her debt of honor was paid to me for saving her life. If I won then she'd marry me. I accepted thinking it a joke." He glanced to Lyndis as she smiled slightly, "It was a joke. You cheated." LionHeart frowned, looking to his Leige lord, "I'm not sure if Picking her up and kissing her would be considered cheating in a fight where she repeatedly, and failed I may add, attempted to low blow me." Lyn whistled innocently, "Anythings fair in a fight...." LionHeart smirked, "Exactly." Lyn blinked then hung her head realizing she'd been trapped. LionHeart smugly smiled as he leaned back comfortably in the seat. Glancing to Lady Sybelle, "I thank you M'lady." Lyn softly muttered under her breath, thumping the side of LionHearts plate again, "If I can only get him out of this gods accursed armor he would be able to fight like a real man and bring more to the fight...." she grinned slightly as she traced a dent in the worn plate armor that had evidently been made by a large weapon. if it hadn't been for the amror LionHeart would have likely been cut in half or broken like a toy. Lionheart frowned, "I like my armor. And it's the very same that my men wear as I will not walk around in gilded armor and fuss over a proper shine to it. If it's good enough to protect my men, It'll serve me better." Lyn rolled her eyes, not taking the bait, " And yet you had to take it all off to beat one lonely little plainswoman. Imagine that." LionHeart blinked, then scowled looking to his King as Lyn smugly satback, "M'lord... I gave my word to her, but I serve you and Sought out your permission as the closest I have to family." Darian Darian turned his attention to Clement and nodded, "Thank you, and Good morn' High Priest." He took one more look aboutthe temple and shook his head, "Though I must say I prefer my plain unadorned, save for Sol's humble Symbol, Temple to this one... Sol's Visions have revealed to me such ornatness is better spent onthe people than the temple." He looked about in earnest before smiling, "I truly do not mean any offence, But is it wise to have to call the people from their work so often for so many prayers a day? Surely it puts more pressureo n the hard working farm hand to rush the crop and the thus sacrifice the good guality of the to harvest..." His tone was amicable and easy, He was truly not making any attempt to offend the High Priest.

Roland and Sybelle Roland felt rather like someone had struck him in the back of the head. Hard. Lionheart... was won? Or at least his marriage bed. In a bet. Good gods... Fortunately, he maintained his expression, allowing only a somewhat baffled curiosity to shine through. It wasn't a match he would have picked for Lionheart, but it wasn't entirely disastrous. Many of the court already viewed him as eccentric at times. With his backing, the nobles couldn't even argue that he was allowing a noble bloodline to be polluted with savage blood. At least not in court. The king dared a glance at Sybelle, curious as to what her reaction may be. The woman was beaming. She raised a hand to both hide it and stifle a laugh. Won... won! Like a common stud. How rich! The woman regained her composure and cast Lyn a wink. "Perhaps we could start a new custom of bargaining for men, Lady Ironwolf, rather than them for us," she suggested, teasingly. Were this any other lord, she would have kept her tongue, but Lionheart was a friend. Roland blinked, then allowed himself a chuckle before looking to the scowling lord-knight. He perked an eyebrow slightly. "Of course, you may have my full blessing..." Roland began, watching Lionheart. He wondered if he had just given the man what he wished, or denied a route of escape. Then again, he had been kissing the lass... "-if that is what you wish." Clement Clement inclined his head to the knight at his greeting in return. He almost perked an eyebrow as the man looked around with a shake of his head that did not suggest awe. Indignance flared in the zealous priest at the man's criticism, despite his genial appearance. "The people of Midland have volunteered their donations and offerings to make this temple what it is. The people wish their temple's beauty to match their devotion to the Father, in honor of Him." He did frown slightly at the man's chastisement. "Currently, daily services are merely to allow all to attend some service, and so that none can say that there was no opportunity." He sniffed slightly, drawing his robes closer to him. "Some even find it comforting to spend the hottest hours of the day in the shade and presence of their Father."

Lyndis & LionHeart LionHeart's expression didn't change as Roland gavehisblessings, nor did it change when Sybelle made a grand joke on his behalf. He Hung his head slightly, trapped by both hiskings permission and his honor. He smirked, it would be interesting whne events come to light, he could already hear the cries of polluted bloodline. Hells below, There morethan afew nobles who would be rather irate to find he's not chose none of their daughters instead. Lyn grinned slightly at Sybelle's joke, "Oh yes indeed. Wouldbe quite the turn around wouldn't it?" She flashed her predatory grin at LionHeart as he glanced at her with a scowl, "Then again, we always were the smarter gender. Reigning in those foolish lads whenthey'd love nothing more than to go skull bashing, Hmn?" This drew a rather thin smile from LionHeart, "Speak for yourself, Saint Lyn. Last time we had a tussel it was me reigning you inbefore your fool skull got caved in." He arched an eyebrow, leaving Lyns jaw hanging at his comment, evidentlythere was a scathing rebuttle and a hint of a joke inside the meaning of those words as her face turned a deep shade of red and she squirmed uneasily, "Was your fault." LionHeart smirked, "So it was." He returned his gaze to Sybelle and Roland, "If I may be so bold... How are we to dismiss cries of polluted blood...? While she is the equivilant of a queen, I'm rather sure there will still bemany, many cried of dismay and more than a few skeletons pulled from closets. M'lord.." Darian Darian arched an eyebrow, refusing to follow the bait as he switched tones, "I spend my time amongst those who only have time inthe evening to pray who have no temple, Matters of perspective one should say." He smiles slightly, "Though I am sure the Father blesses such devotion, Tell me what your interpretation of this is." He looks towards the holy symbol of hisfather with a slightly far gone gleam in his eyes, "The Father saw fit to gift me with a vision of how I should live my life and I would liek your take on it..." He continues along to explain everything, in intricate detail to Clement.

Roland and Sybelle Sybelle was forced to stifle another laugh as Lyndis and Lionheart continued to offer each other taunts and jibes. Roland could only look on, shaking his head slightly. It was already quite clear that this arrangement was going to cause no end of... disturbance among the nobles. His hand rose to his temple, rubbing gently in attempts to stave off the headache he could already feel forming. When Lionheart addressed him once more, he lifted his head, lowering his hand back to the arm of his chair. A small frown tugged at his lips, his brow furrowed, for a moment. "Monarch's backing. If I have to, I'll have the archivists come up with something..." he replied, chewing his lower lip slightly.

Lyn & Chris Chris smiled slightly, "Thank you, M'leige." He couldn't help but feel more than a bit trapped by his own honor to uphold is end of things. The girl was attractive, of that there wasn't much doubt. He shook his head, there would still be quite a few obsticles. He grunted and shoved them from his mind, A plan slwoly formed inhis mind and hegrinned slightly, "M'lord.. if you don't mind, perhaps we, myself and you, could come up with something together?..." He nudgeslyn who blinks athim before narrowing her eyes, "And... My apologies in advance, perhaps the ladies could...retire to the private garden outside for but a few moments? I'm rather sure Lady Sybelle and Lady Lyndis could find common ground and be able to come up with something? I'm rather sure they already have one thingin common, their love of hte night sky and the moon." Lyn foughtto keep her jawfrom dropping at the amazingly subtle revalition about herself to Lady Sybelle. She eyed LionHeart warily, he was good. damned good, and it bothered her sometimes as she smiled and bowed graciously, "perhaps that would be a good idea? We ladies do tend to come up with rather interesting ideas."

Roland and Sybelle Roland waved a hand dismissively at Lionheart's thanks. "You're more than merely a noble of my court. You're my friend. As the Lady Sybelle and her husband." He perked an eyebrow slightly as the man grinned slowly. "Of course..." he began, some confusion hinting in his tone as it was suggested that the women retreat to speak together. Roland stole a glance at Sybelle, the woman perking an eyebrow as well. As they spoke, the guard at the door knocked to announce himself and opened the door slowly. Instead of the armed man, a servant entered with a tray of goblets. Dark red wine half filled the goblets, and most of a decanter as well. He set the tray on a table and began to quietly offer goblets to the four. Sybelle shook her head at her offer as Roland accepted his with a grateful nod. Sybelle looked from Lionheart to Lyndis for a moment, while the servant offered them wine as well. Lionheart wouldn't hint at such things unless she was one of us... would he? Sybelle looked to the king, inclining her head respectfully. "If you will excuse us, my lords, I will take Lady Lyndis to my solar," she offered, glancing to Lyndis. Rising to her feet, she turned to smile at Lyn, more warmth entering her smile. "And if you will accompany me, Lady Lyndis?" Clement Clement couldn't keep his eyes from widening at the man's response. He himself had never been visited by the solar deity, nor any of the priests in his temple, to his knowledge. Of course, he reflected, why would He? We are doing His work, as His words teach. Nonetheless, he listened to the man's vision with great interest. Upon hearing the full tale, Clement looked over the freelance knight slowly, his lips pursed thoughtfully. "Clearly, the Father has shown you what He wishes of you. Aiding His temples and defending His children from heretics."

LionHeart & Lyn Lyn eyed LionHeart skeptically for a few seconds then rose, nodding as she took her own goblet with aword of thanks to the servant before looking to Lady Sybelle, "I'd be most pleased... perhps we can come up with some way to keep these lads from getting themselves hurt?" She grinned, moving to follow Lady Sybelle. When the two women had left LionHeart accepted his own goblet and took the tray from the servant and laid if between himself nad his King, dropping every bit of his usual composure and sighed wearily, "Aye my friend, it's been too long since we've been able to speak.... " He looked up and drained near fully half the goblet before pausing, "Whatever plan you have my friend, I hope it'll be good... And I'll aid you in any way possable. Lady Lyn is...odd for her kind, and I don't truly expect her to be around very often - she hates open cities like this, prefers the forest or the plains so I know that'll cause friction with more of the nobles." He scowled, "Then again... I'm not of nobility either - that could also solce quite a few of our problems in itself." He grinned, leaning back the beginning of an idea striking, "If The King were to subtly remind the court that I am not of noble birth so it would be natural for me to marry from amongst the commons...?"He arched an eyebrow, wondering if that would be the nich to make it solid of the noose around his neck. Darian Darian smiled slightly, the high preist wasn't telling him anything he didn't already know,"Heretics you say?" Hearched an eyebrow slowly, Breif images of rows upon rowsof therians having been slaughter by him and his men many, many years ago before his 'sister' had persuaded him and calmed the misguided beast, "I've yet to run into any."

Sybelle Syeblle smiled, eyes glinting with amusement at the other woman's comment. "Indeed, it seems that we must." She offered her monarch and lord-knight a deep curtsy before turning to lead the plainswoman through the maze of corridors that would eventually bring them to the rooms assigned to the Torrence guests. She wondered if William would return before things were resolved. Upon reaching her antechamber, Sybelle pushed the door open and waved Lyndis into her solar. "Please, make yourself comfortable," she began, gesturing to the chairs and low divan settled into the room. Closing the door behind her, she moved to take up in one of the chairs herself. "I cannot say that I am displeased that Christopher has found such a match," Sybelle remarked with a sly grin. "Did you truly win him in a bet?" Roland Roland nodded o the women before they departed, glad that it need be his last measured action for a time. As Lionheart relieved the servant of his tray, Roland waved him out, relaxing slightly. "Sometimes I believe my court delights in creating intrigue," he began, smirking faintly before adding, "Including you." His smirk grew at the man's remarks and he shook his head. "I certainly hope what we come up with is good, too. It will have to be, even despite your protests. You may not have been born a noble, but my decree has made you so." Roland leaned forward slightly to point an accusing finger at him sternly. "Like it or not, you are a lord-knight of my court." He snorted, leaning back again. "Need at least a few honest one. Not to mention, more than a few nobles will be bemoaning their loss of a suitable match for their daughters."

Lyndis Lyn smiled graciously accepting what was offered to her. As she looked to Sybelle she smiled predatorily, "Oh quite so. I didn't lose on purpose. I'm not quite sure if he even knows how good he is at times." She smirked, "Yes, I 'won' him. Dispite his protests he has admitted to finding me fascinating. And evidently, since he made a mention of it, You know full well what I am." LionHeart Chris smiled slightly, "Oh yes, intruge is always a good motivation for people to be on their toes. Especialy you M'lordship." He grinned, claiming the last of his wine before leaning foreward, "you point at me as if accusing me of being caught red handed my friend." He chuckled, Then leaned back, nodding in agreement, "I can name a few Ladies who'll feel more than a bit slighted... Lord Arris's youngest daughter foremost, beleive he was going to attempt to leverage his daughter into marriage this summer....." He smiled slightly, "She is a nice lass, but she wouldn't be happy with my life... My lands belong to the people and knights under my command, and the grand castle I have is just a rumor. As you full well know." LionHeart himself had vahemently opposed them even building the small outpost that served as his 'keep', they;d forced him regardless. "I beleive it was you who told me it was 'I'll befitting a man of my rank to live in a simple hut.'? wasn't it? I'd never provide any of the women raised by the nobles here the life and grand home they beleive I have - And It would only bring ridicule to them in their circles of friends. Even if i'm sought after like a prized stud." He snorted, pointing a finger at his friend, "I beleive you have had a hand in that little plot."

Sybelle Sybelle nodded, her smile faltering only briefly. "Indeed, Lady Lyndis." She paused, looking to the other woman from the corner of her eye. She was much more direct than the noble woman was used to, but Sybelle supposed that her situation could afford that. She was the leader of her tribal people, from what Lionheart had said. Sybelle repressed a frown at the implications that could arise from that, schooling her expression. When she spoke again, her tone was deliberately light and curious. "Has Lionheart spoken of our people in Midland? In the woodlands?" Roland Roland couldn't suppress a chuckle. "Ariss's child will have to make another choice then, won't she? You know, some time ago, William was considering you for his youngest." The man rolled his eyes slightly with a shake of his head at Lionheart's dismissal of his own lands. "I won't deny stating that. I was hoping to inspire some measure of... awareness of your own image in you." He snorted slightly. ''But I certainly had nothing to do with putting you to stud.'' Frowning slightly, Roland swirled the contents of his goblet before him, watching the liquid slosh gently. "Fortunately, your lands and status will help, as you say." He smirked slightly. "And it wouldn't be the first time that I have had to defend the actions of my nobles. Many did not want young Zathaniel inheriting the Torrence lands when William and Sybelle relinquish their duties."

Lyn Lyn smiled slightly, "Yes. Considered it essential before we came here for that attempt at a trial by law. He made sure I understood and would behave accordingly." She scowled, "Though what I've found here surprises me. immensly. I never would have expected to find Children of the Goddess living so freely, if you will, amongst Sol's children." She snorted slightly, still rather incredulouse, "Amongst the plains it's much easier to integrate ourselves...but the consiquences are usualy much arsher I'd imagine here if someone were to slip." LionHeart LionHeart shook his head, "My own image huh? I happen to think the people like a 'lord' who's not afraid to put himself through great lengths to ensure his people are well cared for and helped then they need it. I've spent more time at the plow with my people than behind a blade." He smirked, "I think the lad'll do a fine job at his station when the time comes. He's grown strong and hail in the past few years." Leaning back and relaxing LionHeart easily removes the heavy breastplate to sit in his Tabard. "Now that thats out of theway, any news you may have for me, before I give the report of my lands?"
